stick welder in one compact package. Add a bottle of shielding gas for welding in TIG mode or clip on your favorite electrode and your ready for stick
welding. While tig welding with this machine you can weld 18 gauge to 3/16 inch steel/stainless steel or 14 gauge to 3/16 inch aluminum. If you have some thick metal to work on, use some 3/32 and 1/8 inch electrodes.
The TigMate tig welder comes with a 12.5 foot (with foot control) or 25 foot (with finger tip control) 150 amp tig torch with a flow through quick connect. Also included is a gas regulator, flow meter and hose, electrode holder (15 feet) and a 12 foot work clamp.
Regardless of which control you purchase, you can always buy the other down the
road should your preferences change.
Hobart improved the circuitry to give you a finer
TIG output adjustment with either control you chose. If you are going to tig weld aluminum you will want to use an alternating current (AC) setting while direct current (DC) works for mild and stainless steel. The special flow through connection design for the shielding gas will let you remove the torch without the need for tools.
