This is the perfect welder for all your small welding jobs or repairs. Hobart ships this unit out as a flux cored welder, however, you can purchase a mig conversion kit for added versatility. A portableHandler 125 welder performer this welder operates off of standard household current. Capable of welding 20 gauge up to 3/16 inch steel with flux cored wire. Four output voltage settings.

This welder comes complete with a comfortable 8 foot H-9b gun with liner for .023 through .035 inch wire. A spool shaft designed for 4 inch spools, power cord and plug, .030 contact tips and a sample spool of .030 self shielding flux cored wire.

Mig Welding Tips: If you add a mig conversion kit (purchased separately) you will want to keep with in these guidelines. The Handler 125 uses solid wire .023 through .030. For best results when welding 22 gauge 1/8 inch steel you will want to use a C-25 shielding gas which is 75% argon and 25% CO2. This will produce a cleaner weld with less spatter. You will also want to use a tri-mix gas with stainless welding wire when welding 16 to 12 gauge stainless steel.
