The IronMan 250 mig
welder by
Hobart Welders is the "top of the Line" for heavy duty
welding applications. They don't make them any bigger
then this one. Featuring a seven position output control
and an infinite wire speed control which results in a
smooth controlled arc. This mig welder is capable of
welding 22 gauge up to 1/2 inch thick steel and a
variety of processes including mild steel, stainless
steel and aluminum.
Want to weld aluminum? If your going to be welding aluminum we recommend that you add a
Spoolmate 3545 spool gun (purchased separately). Since aluminum welding wire is so soft it creates feed problems in any welding machine. The shorter the wire has to travel, the less feed problems you are going to experience. Another advantage is that the spool gun cable is 20 feet long verses the mig gun that comes with this machine is 12 feet long. Giving you an extra 8 feet of reach.
The Hobart IronMan 250 Mig Welder comes complete with a 12 foot 200 amp mig gun, regulator/flow-meter, five feet of gas hose with fitting, 10 foot primary input cable with plug, 10 foot work clamp and has a built in running gear and cylinder rack. A sample spool of
welding wire and extra contact tips are also included.
